Different types of communication in the work place…?
February 6th, 2009 by admin
My boss asked me to make a presentation of all the different types of ways we can communicate in the office. Like, what all types of technology are out there.
I thought of things like, using the flyers on Facebook.com
or keeping in contact on myspace.
Other things like text messaging one another, sending emails to pdas and things like that.
Also, instant messaging and using Skype.
The thing is, I don't have as many ideas as I was hoping for, so I'm hoping someone on here knows some other ways. NO idea is dumb to say!
If you think of it, please say it!
As many as you can think of!
Thanks!
Anyone ELSE??

There is software that you can get which will commuincate with any device. IE one message can be sent to all computers, pda's, mobiles, home phones etc. You'd have to Google it cos I don't know the name of it.

The most popular one in our office is IM.
Although, I still use "facemail" – that is actually getting up out of my seat and walking over to the person that I need to talk with. But if I am asking someone to do something, then I facemail and follow up with email to CYA.

IM's, Outlook, Telephones, cell phones, text, e-mail, on-line forums, oh and good ol' verbal, but it has become more common and all too easy to use the other means, and not actually "talk" to your co-workers.
