Wow… you're not asking for much, are you? ![]()
I'll try to get you started but you're going to have to do some reading on your own. Fair enough?
A database is any collection of information. Dictionary, phone book, encyclopedia, etc. are all written databases and organized alphabetically. Take a phonebook (for example) and create an electronic data base in a computer, and you can set up your searches by first name, last name, address, etc. Doesn't matter if a database is written or electonic. Information can be lost, scrambled, erased, mis-typed, etc. Old abbrviation: GIGO. Garbage in, garbage out. A computer won't know you made a mistake if you type "night" instead of "might".

A spreadsheet is a specialized type of data base. Some spreadsheets let you create as many as 8192 rows and 256 columns. Where a row and column intersects is called a cell. For example, cell C35 would be the 3rd column at the 35th row. Cells can be linked together by formulae, so C35 could contain the sum of A35 and B35. Spreadsheets are great to figure out budgets. But there's different ways to use spreadsheets.

Advantages of the internet: in my opinion the number one advantage is having so much information available in one place. And the # 2 answer is how fast you can find that information.
Communication: Think about this one. Communication is always changing. Sign language, pictures on a cave wall, smoke signals, mirrors to reflect light like a lost hiker might use, lamps (Paul Revere, one if by land two if by sea), audible devices like a whistle, writings, speech, telegraph, telephone, emails, etc. There are different forms of communication for different circumstances. And those circumstances might involve distance, weather conditions, need for speed, etc. You've got a lot of reading to do on this one.

Presentations are used to convey information. Again, think of your own life. How do you present information? The two basic ways are talking and writing. And there are different instuments to help us. Talking can be face to face, with a telephone, instant messaging, sign language, etc. Writing could be snail mail, emails, passing notes in class, drawing pictures, etc. How it's used depends on the circumstances. Would you send a snail mail letter to everyone warning them there's a tornado approaching, or would you use some other presentation?
Hope this helps a bit.
