The Second City offers unique curriculum based workshops and performances that enrich the work of thousands of K-12 students and educators each year in Chicago and Toronto.
Using fundamental improvisation techniques, these programs help students develop such skills as listening, team building, physical and verbal communication, idea generation, vocabulary, inferencing, sequencing, self-confidence, social integration, and empathy. The workshops are designed to meet teaching standards, and educators can adapt the techniques into their classroom across content areas.

Workshops and performances are offered on-site at the Second City Theatre and Training Center in Chicago and Toronto or they can travel to a school or community center.
