CHILD WATER SURVIVAL

History
The idea behind Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) was born in 1966 when its founder, Dr. Harvey Barnett, was just 18 years old. As an active lifeguard with a passion for water safety, Barnett witnessed the tragic aftermath when a neighbor child drowned. At that moment, he vowed to do everything possible to ensure
not one more child drowns.
Barnett began teaching young children in his neighborhood how to swim. As he taught the children to swim, Barnett observed how they responded to certain types of instruction, how quickly they learned some techniques, and what Types Of Communication they responded to most effectively. He took miles of Super 8 movie film and began to develop a specific technique that could be used even for non-verbal infants. This was the beginning research phase for what is now Infant Swimming Resource’s proprietary and proven methodology to teach babies 6 months to 6 years old to swim, to save themselves in an accidental water encounter.
With a PhD and 41 years experience, Barnett developed the first and only drowning prevention strategy that has earned a 100% safety record. ISR is a truly comprehensive infant swimming education and self-rescue skill instruction method that is well established in the fields of health care, psychology/behavioral sciences, anatomy and physiology.
Since 1966, ISR has safely delivered over 6 million lessons to teach water self-rescue skills to more than 160,000 babies and has educated parents and medical experts nationwide on water safety techniques and proven instruction methods. To date, ISR has 784 documented cases of children using ISR techniques to save themselves from drowning.
Giving back is part of our organization’s culture. At ISR we desire to work with you and families all across the country to bring about a time when drowning is a rare occurrence rather than an every day tragedy.
ISR has established a scholarship fund designed to ist our Instructor efforts so that no family is denied the peace of mind and the opportunities ISR provides. Funds are set aside by ISR on an annual basis for families in need to apply for financial istance to cover a portion of the cost of program participation.

How do read body language?
Posted by: | CommentsI’ve always loved being able to understand more about a person than they wish to show by reading their body language. But there is a limit of how much i know, and i would love to know more. Do any of you know anything about this, the stuff i already know is like ;
If they like you their pupils dialate and they subconciously blink faster etc, any more you can help me with? Thanks!
It’s easy to spot a confident person, they will make prolonged eye contact and have a strong posture.
If people laugh excessively, it may be dishonest, or they just might be very naturally jovial, or just happy. Use your best judgment. Some people laugh out of nervousness.
Don’t isolate yourself by constantly examining body language when interacting with people otherwise there is no reason to gain a social upper hand anyway. This is paralysis by analysis.
Watch the face, it will usually give off a quick involuntary and sometimes subconcious twitch when something happens that irritates, excites, or amuses them.
Mimicking your actions means that the person is comfortable around you.
Realize that most body language you see is obvious things, like frowning, stroking the chin, etc.
Good luck princess Merry Christmas & New Year! xx

What is the body language or signs a guy will show if he loves you ?
Posted by: | CommentsAnd this guy lives in the next apartment so what body language or signs will he give me if he is interested or in love with me?
Without touching, or talking.
His balcony is like opposite or right in front of my bedroom window and his bedroom window is also in front of my bedroom window and hall.
And how would he drive in front of me
Please help;) Hope you understood my question.
When he smiles at you, he says hi and you really dont talk to him, he stares at you. If he knows you he tickles you alot, he brushes his hand against yours, sometimes a boy can be mean and pick on you alot.
